When listing crontab jobs with “crontab -e” command in Oracle Linux for any user, if this user is not in “/etc/cron.allow” file , an error such as “You (oracle) are not allowed to use this program (crontab)” is occured. To fix this issue , you should add the username into /etc/cron.allow file .
[oracle@orcldb rman_script]$ crontab -e You (oracle) are not allowed to use this program (crontab) See crontab(1) for more information
You can add username into cron.allow file by root as below :
echo username >> /etc/cron.allow
Then , you can edit or show cron jobs for that user.
